Mark Letendre, ATC

Mark Letendre has had a distinguished career in Major League Baseball, culminating in his role with the MLB Commissioner’s Office in 2000, where he was selected to develop and oversee a comprehensive athletic healthcare program for the 76 umpires in the Major Leagues. He retired in December 2019 after a storied tenure.

Mark served as a Major League Baseball athletic trainer for 18 years, working with notable teams such as the San Francisco Giants and New York Yankees. He had the honor of serving as the National League athletic trainer at the MLB All-Star Games in 1987 and 1994.

His contributions to the field have been recognized widely. Mark was inducted into the Manchester Central High School Hall of Fame in 2006 and received the NATA Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer Award in 2010. Further, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame at the Boys and Girls Club of Manchester, NH, in November 2011. He received the Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers Society President’s Distinguished Service Award that same year. The University of Maine honored him with the Abram W. Harris Outstanding Alumni Award in 2014 and the Block M Alumni Award in 2017, while the Professional Baseball Chiropractic Society bestowed upon him the 2015 Visionary Award. His achievements also led to his induction into the University of Maine Sports Hall of Fame in 2018 and the National Athletic Trainers Association Hall of Fame in 2020, and he will be joining the Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers Society Hall of Fame in 2024.

Beyond his professional achievements, Mark is an active community leader. He is the Chairperson Emeritus for the Boys’ and Girls’ Club of Greater Scottsdale Foundation, a past Chairperson for the National Athletic Trainers Association Political Action Committee, and a member of The Scottsdale Charros civic group. Currently, he serves as Vice President on the Board of Directors for the Baseball Assistance Team.

Mark and his wife, Judy, reside in Phoenix, Arizona, and are proud parents to their two daughters, Alyssa Hall and Shannon Philips. He remains a frequent speaker on topics including equipment safety, umpire conditioning, and injury management for amateur umpires.

Brad Pearson, ATC

Brad enters his second season as VP of Sports Medicine and Performance. He previously held the position of Director of Sports Medicine/Head Athletic Trainer for seven years. Before rising to the role of Head Athletic Trainer, he served as an assistant athletic trainer from 2012 to 2015. Before joining the major league team, Brad spent nine seasons in the minor league system, where he was the Minor League Athletic Training Coordinator from 2008 to 2012 and worked as an Athletic Trainer at the affiliate level prior to that.

A native of Ludlow, VT, Brad attended Springfield College in Springfield, MA, where he graduated with a B.S. in Athletic Training. He also holds an M.S. in Exercise Science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He is certified through both the NATABOC and the NSCA.

Brad currently resides in Lincoln, Massachusetts, with his wife Candace and their children, Felicity and Cameron. His extensive experience in professional baseball, spanning 23 years, underscores his profound commitment to advancing sports medicine and athlete performance.

Dr. John Rosa

Dr. John Rosa owns and supervises ABC Management, encompassing 16 integrative health clinics and 9 Federal Injury Centers across Maryland and Virginia, servicing over 100,000 patient visits per year. These clinics integrate medicine, chiropractic, physical therapy, acupuncture, and behavioral medicine to effectively address pain syndromes and musculoskeletal disorders. Additionally, he is the current COO of Regional Psychiatry, operating across Florida, Maryland, and Colorado, focusing on a mix of integrative med management, psychotherapy, and health coaching to emphasize education over medication in mental health.

Education & Leadership: Dr. Rosa, an alumnus of Northeast College of Health Sciences and Rutgers University, serves as the Board Chair at Maryland University of Integrative Health. He has influenced significant advancements in integrative medicine, notably reducing opioid prescriptions by integrating multiple disciplines in clinical practice.

Expertise in Addiction and Mental Health: Dr. Rosa is an acclaimed addiction and mental health expert, consulting for various federal agencies and co-founding 5in5 Inc. His efforts extend to educational initiatives and technological solutions in mental health, impacting a broad audience across academic and professional platforms.

Research and Community Outreach: Dr. Rosa is actively involved in medical research and community education, directs research initiatives at Nu-Life Solutions, and contributes to scientific committees. He founded “Overdose Free A “erica” and produces documentaries to enhance public awareness of critical health issues, demonstrating a profound commitment to community well-being.

Dr. Rosa’s career is marked by his dedication to improving health care through integrative approaches and community leadership, as well as his significant impact on public health education and addiction recovery.

Dr. Deed Harrison

Dr. Deed E. Harrison, a distinguished graduate of Life-West Chiropractic College (1996), is a renowned authority in chiropractic research and education. Dr. Harrison has pioneered unique spinal rehabilitation methods and shared his expertise at nearly 1,000 educational conferences worldwide. He has authored around 260 peer-reviewed publications, five spine textbooks, and numerous conference papers, establishing him as a leading figure in chiropractic research.

Dr. Harrison also serves as a manuscript reviewer for top-tier spine journals and has held the role of Guest Editor for the Journal of Clinical Medicine’s special issues on spine rehabilitation. As President and CEO of Chiropractic BioPhysics® (CBP®) Technique & Seminars and President of CBP NonProfit, Inc., he continues to influence the field through advanced research and clinical practice.

Based in Eagle, Idaho, Dr. Harrison runs the Ideal Spine Health Center, a premier chiropractic rehabilitation and education facility. His ongoing commitment to education is underscored by his current pursuit of a Doctorate in Forensic Medicine.

Dr. Sean Drake

Dr. Sean Drake is a dynamic professional celebrated for his extensive expertise in sports health, movement, and recovery. A fervent advocate for holistic well-being, he revels in a spectrum of high-energy activities, from triathlon and high-altitude climbing to skydiving and sailing. These pursuits underscore his adventurous spirit and his commitment to a vibrant, active lifestyle.

Holding a Bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and a Master’s in Sports Health Science, specializing in Sports Injury Management and Human Performance from Life University, he also earned his Doctorate in Chiropractic—Dr. Drake’s academic credentials are as impressive as his physical endeavors. He also instructs breathwork and nervous system training, guiding individuals toward peak personal authenticity and performance.

Dr. Drake has treated a wide array of clients, including high-profile athletes from major sports leagues such as MLB, NFL, NBA, and more, enhancing their performance and recovery. Beyond individual care, he consults for teams, offering insights that refine athletic prowess and well-being. His leadership extends into academia as a professor and valued advisory board member across various brands.

Recently appointed as the Director of Optimal Performance at Thera Optimal Health, Dr. Drake continues to influence the sports medicine field, committed to exploring and expanding the boundaries of human potential.

Dr. TJ Hagan
Dr. TJ Hagan, a distinguished graduate of New York Chiropractic College, is renowned for his expertise in sports chiropractic and myofascial remodeling. With a profound dedication to aiding athletes and active individuals, he has honed his skills through extensive postgraduate coursework in sports medicine, earning a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician certificate.

His proficiency extends through a variety of specialized techniques, including Active Release, FAKTR, and Structural Integration, among others. Dr. Hagan’s unique treatment approach combines these soft tissue techniques with traditional chiropractic care and tailored exercise prescriptions to optimize patient outcomes.

Dr. Hagan currently enhances athletic performance and recovery as a chiropractic consultant for prestigious organizations such as Harvard University Sports Medicine, the New England Patriots, the Boston Red Sox, and the Bruins. Additionally, he co-owns and operates two thriving group practices in Cambridge and Boston, MA, where he and his team continuously innovate to improve their therapeutic techniques.

Nick Kenney, ATC
Nick Kenney is currently in his 15th season with the Kansas City Royals, serving as the Director of Major League Medical Administration. Before ascending to his current role, he dedicated twelve years as the Head Athletic Trainer and Director of Medical Services for the Royals, following five seasons as the Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Cleveland Guardians and two years in a similar capacity with the Cincinnati Reds.

Kenney’s comprehensive background in sports medicine also includes a pivotal role as Program Manager of Sports Medicine for TriHealth, where he spearheaded healthcare coordination and rehabilitation programs for both major and minor league players of the Reds. His early career featured a seven-season tenure as Head Athletic Trainer for the Cincinnati Cyclones professional hockey team.

A respected figure in his field, Kenney is an active National Athletic Trainers Association member and serves as the President of the Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers Society (PBATS) Executive Board. His exemplary leadership and dedication have earned him multiple accolades, including membership on the 2012 American League All-Star team, the 2011 Dick Martin Award, and PBATS Major League Training Staff of the Year Awards in both 2007 (with the Cleveland Guardians) and 2013.

Nick holds a degree from Wilmington College, Ohio, and currently resides in Overland Park, KS, with his wife, Patty, and their four children: Paige, Colin, Nathan, and Madison.
